Flute Cocktail

I hired a cellist for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and it was the best decision I made when it came to my ceremony music. The cellist listened to everything I requested and played everything beautifully. There were a few changes with the music and Lisa was quick to work with to make sure those were changed and communicated to the cellist. I had lots of compliments on how this touch to the wedding made it more elegant and emotional. I highly recommend a cellist for the more intimate and emotional parts of your wedding.

Flute Cocktail did a wonderful job at our wedding! They were very flexible with the rain and other issues we had. They were also great at working with us ahead of time on coordinating all of our vendors. We definitely recommend their services to those getting married soon!

Flute Cocktail provided a classical flute/violin/cello trio for our wedding, playing 30 minutes of prelude music, a processional and a recessional. It's an instrumentation grouping that wouldn't have occurred to me until I listed to the beautiful audio samples. Linda was very helpful in planning and provided a useful repertoire list. On the day, the trio was on time, engaged and professional. Best of all, the music was classy, festive and excellent throughout. I'm a longtime church musician, and I had high standards for our wedding music. The Flute Cocktail ensemble met and exceeded them. I'm happy to recommend.

Nik played violin at our wedding at Swan Lake Event Center and it was wonderful! Our ceremony felt as if it was out of a storybook, the music was so lovely. The entire process was wonderful with Flute Cocktail taking the time to go over song inspiration with us and to make sure that everything ran smoothly! I had a themed Christmas Carol sot down dinner for friends and family. Flute Cocktail provided the music for our party. Fabulous job, friendly and kept the theme of our party in mind when playing. Totally will use Flute Cocktail again!

Hiring a musician through Flute Cocktail on GigSalad was a terrific experience. The initial communication was easy, accommodating, and came off without a hitch. We had a private event for 12 family members in the wine cellar private dining room at The Refectory here in Columbus, and I wanted to have a violinist play for cocktail hour. Susan was on time and playing when my guests were arriving and throughout the cocktail hour. She played beautifully, everyone loved her, and was very friendly and personable. I would certainly use Flute Cocktail and GigSalad to book something like this again. Very reliable!

Beautiful music for our wedding ceremony and reception!

I booked Flute Cocktail for a pre-wedding celebration event for 150 guests. We felt a flute & violin duo would be a great gift for the recently engaged couple - and they really enjoyed it! Even though I only booked Flute Cocktail 2 weeks in advance of the party, Linda (flutist and company CEO) and Nik (violinist) were ready to go and more than willing to work with me on customization. With most of our guests being of Indian origin, I asked Linda if they would be willing to learn and play some Bollywood/Hindi music. After some research to produce sheet music, Linda and Nik were excited to learn and perform the custom selections! From my end, I'd need to work on logistics, including the location I'd want the duo to sit and perform, so that all of the guests would have the best vantage to listen to the duo without being interfered by too much background noise or open air. I would definitely consider Flute Cocktail again in the future.

I can't say enough about the positive experience of working with Linda at Flute Cocktail. I am from another state and my daughter's wedding was in Columbus, Ohio, so I had no reference for searching out talent for a string quartet. I booked through Gig Salad, then Linda contacted me and arranged a meeting with the bride and groom to go over wedding selections. Linda was so kind to us, understanding and always responded to questions. The wedding day was so beastly hot and we did provide the rented umbrella for shade - and the group performed beautifully and the music was wonderful. We hired Flute Cocktail to play at our daughter's wedding reception. They played from the time guests arrived right up until the DJ started. They were fabulous! Actually beyond fabulous. Flute Cocktail played for our daughter's wedding on March 1st , 2014. We used the Flute, violin and cello...( they also played one piano piece too). They were spectacular and had plenty of volume without using a microphone. The music was so flawlessly played that some of our guests who did not see them thought it was a recording. The musicians transitioned from one piece to another so seamlessly and beautifully.
