How will you celebrate the New Year?

The first step to putting together this party is coming up with a theme. New Year's Eve is essentially its own theme, so you can focus on that if you choose. Use traditional New Year's decorations in colors such as black and silver with party favors that center on the year that's about to begin. If you want to add more to the theme, there are many options, so get creative. You could have a party that focuses on New Year's resolutions, a costume party or even a casino night!

Perhaps you are not planning a party for you and your friends, but instead for your kids and their friends. Or maybe you'll have the two parties mixed.
